The Back Story
StudioBARON DESIGN delivers compelling, inventive spaces, tailored to your real life, wherever you live, work, host, or play. We work with homeowners, residents and renters, developers, and real-estate professionals, on both residential projects and commercial sites. As a full-service interior design and lifestyle studio, we’re known for work that hits the sweet spot where coastal meets cosmopolitan. We listen first, then help navigate our clients through a world of possibilities fundamentally richer than what they might envision on their own. We insist on rigorous attention to detail, consistent and transparent communication, and full project-management skills as we bring ideas to life — from concept through completion. You'll benefit from our long-standing relationships with local artisans, workrooms, fabricators and vendors, which allow us to carefully match your priorities, scope, timeline and budget. Philosophically, we aspire to blend the wisdom of an experienced advisor with the heartfelt honest of a trusted friend, leaving room for serendipity along the way. We are excited to partner with you and look forward to building a collaborative work relationship.
Meet Linda
Principal of STUDIOBARON Design, Linda is a native New Yorker who has lived in Northern California for more than half her life. She juxtaposes an easy-going, West-coast sensibility with the tailored aesthetic of a city girl. Clients are drawn to Linda’s warm manner, relentless curiosity, and immersive attention to detail.
Before founding her firm, Linda was a photojournalist, most notably working for The New York Times. As an experienced narrative storyteller, she infuses her design work with visual interest and depth, resulting in rooms both compelling and camera ready.
Outside the studio, Linda is a mom of two daughters, and two rescue dogs. She is learning to sail, vows to ski til she can’t walk, and aspires to run one more Dipsea. An active community member, Linda leads the North Bay alumni chapter for the Modern Elder Academy, the world’s first midlife -wisdom school. She is privileged to volunteer at Make it Home, which helps to furnish homes for those recovering from trauma, and at Sausalito Center for the Arts, a local non-profit art gallery. Travel is her muse, whether a mountain trail in majestic Marin, or a fanciful village on a far-flung continent….
